We absoultely need a proper distinction for bad AI, because using "AI" on its own as a catchall for everything is NOT doing us any favors, especially since AI is such a broad term

Some folks are using the term "genAI": for anything GENERATIVE, like scripts, art or movies

I hope so. I did look to see how much it would cost to ship to the US now and it's more expensive than the price of my items (I sell 3" stickers). It used to cost like £1.50 in 2020, now it's £3.30 that's more than DOUBLE.

This right here. I love my art friends and art community, but I'm also trying to run a business as a freelancer/selling products and I need the reach! Every time we scatter to different platforms it's a little harder to exist as a working artist whose primary visibility is only online.

As much as folks might not want to believe it, artists who sell their work cannot survive exclusively on platforms that cater to primarily other artists. The Circulating The Same Five Dollars™️ model can't feed us or pay bills for long. We need places where we can be seen and discovered.

I really don't know how to tell you how bad the tariff situation is, I'm considering not resuming shipping as the requirements and fees to send merch to US are not worth it

A notice regarding my store, please read

Due to the removal of "De minimis exception" starting this August 29th all
orders entering US will be subjected to custom fees;

Because I am not sure how the fees will be handled (I'm not getting any info
from the Post office) shipments to US will be paused until new notice.
I don't want to risk anybody paying an expensive flat fee for a small
package (as I have been reading)

I had plans to close my store for most of September anyway (I will be going
on a holiday and attending a big artist alley later) so please place your
orders BEFORE THIS FRIDAY, especially if you are from US, as I don't
know if I will be able to ship there after my re-opening

Just to clarify: the store will be paused for everybody from the last week of
August to the end of September so please plan your purchases ahead
(I'm really sorry I will miss my Store's anniversary :( )

I will be updating this post if I learn any new info about this matter
(If the fee ends up being a 15-20% of the value of the package I will
happily resume shipping with extra freebies)

Most of my costumers are from US so I will take a big hit if I have to stop
sending stuff to you, I hope I will find a way
