1. I got Godzilla vs Megalon on VHS as a birthday present one year, and that started a love affair with monsters. I drew them so much, teachers and other school officials thought i was disturbed.
2. I saw Heavy Metal at what was probably WAY too young an age, and it imprinted on me.

As somebody who's been working in IT and tech support for 26 years, it was bad enough when I had to regularly deal with people who were confidently wrong. Now, the machines are even more confidently wrong.
