Some images from this year's @gendesignmc.bsky.social Minecraft settlement PCG challenge. We got submissions from both new and returning teams, using a variety of techniques conventional and new. Results will be announced at IEEE Conference of Games, which is held in Lisbon 🇵🇹 later this August.

The AI Settlement Generation Competition has been running since 2018.

The basic idea is that you write a script that can create some kind of settlement on an arbitrary Minecraft map (via map editor or custom Minecraft API). Then they take the scripts, run them on some maps, and judge the results.
