Don't really want to publicly out them but it really comes down to everyone one is struggling to stay in business and some types of bookings (private events) are far more lucrative than rock shows. Booking in general seems much more unsettled than it used to. Or maybe it's rose-colored glasses.

It was nice to be out in the world playing music for people in real life this weekend. I had two shows, one with my band @gentlehen.bsky.social and one solo. No A.I., no TikTok filters, no auto-tune, no click-tracks, no avatars, just people hanging out in darkened rooms together listening to music.

Eastern Mass Friends: Major interruptions on the Pike by 95 this weekend. I am traveling from the west for a gig in Brookline and I'm trying to figure out the best approach. Do I just go rt 2 all the way into town, or do I do the pike up to 290 and then rt 9, or will 9 be all cars avoiding the pike?
