An introduction to this project: we're a small game studio based in South Louisiana. Our first release NORCO (2022) is a sci-fi graphic adventure set in the New Orleans suburbs. Gameplay resembles Hideo Kojima's Snatcher or a modernized MacVenture such as Deja Vu.

Play NORCO wherever you can find it.
Had the chance to play NORCO myself on a Steam Deck and can confirm it runs well. We added features to make things more comfortable, like using buttons to quickly cycle through selectables, and supporting both dpad & joystick for cursor control. There are a number of font options available as well.

Can confirm this is one of the best games for steam deck. Thick atmosphere with intelligent world building that has a very real sense of political economy.

Excited for your upcoming @geographyofrobots.bsky.social !

This is the good stuff
Can't get enough of it really. A representation of Gulf South habitats as faithful as we can make it.

Played Norco by @geographyofrobots.bsky.social for @pixelexplorersclub.bsky.social Game Club.

It was an interesting and layered experience. I had seen it be recommended as a similar vibe to KRZ and yep, they are "of the same cloth"

Happy to finally play it, It had some scenes I really loved.

I do think it makes for a good handheld experience. A little like flipping through postcards from Louisiana.

Happy birthday, Promesa! An excellent game for those not familiar.
Today Promesa is 5 years old!

Don't have much to say, other than I'm proud of my little boy, and I have the itch to do some more of these.

Ander Monson in conversation with Yuts, creator of NORCO I first encountered NORCO last year teaching a course on narrative games. It’s a throwback-style point-and-click video game released in 2022…
