I have two complaints about Aliya Whiteley's next book:
1) I can't really recommend what makes it great without spoiling things that make it great.
2) It doesn't come out until February so I can't tell people to run out and get it now.
3) I want to read it again immediately

Aliya Whiteley is 2-3 for me, and I'm planning to give the outlier a second chance asap based on the other two.

The food one was tricky, because I went to dinner with someone I love, and they said "so you're gonna get the grasshopper appetizer right?" and I said uh yeah sure if you want them. They laughed and said they were just teasing. So there ARE situations. 😁 But sushi in a landlocked state...? Yikes.

I just discovered the book I'm currently reading has 0 reviews/ratings on both Goodreads and Storygraph, which means I'm very likely going to be the first to review it on either. I'm 25% in and I really like it, so it'll be a good review. Still, a lot of pressure.

Are they also more expensive? I feel like most packaging changes are so you'll think, "This feels different, oh there's new packaging" instead of "Oh, there's less in this than there used to be."

I once saw someone say they all turned on her because Xander, her most loyal acolyte, started doubting her after losing an eye and he's the HEART OF THE GROUP so everyone just followed his lead. I wanted to slap that person through the screen.
