“Sparking debate” is the sort of euphemistic phrase appearing repeatedly in mainstream publications that provides cover for the excesses, extremes, and flat-out lawbreaking of this criminal administration.
“Sparking debate”
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is sparking debate with claims linking circumcision and Tylenol to autism, but scientists say the evidence is lacking.

Here’s what the science actually says:
and the despised Ku Klux Klan. In all our history we have never tolerated an armed masked secret police. Carrying on in this fashion, ICE brings indelible obloquy to this administration and everyone who works in it.”

Truer words were never spoken!

Federal Judge William Young in his opinion in American Association of University Professors v. Rubio pointing out the ignominy of masked ICE officers:

“Can you imagine a masked marine? It is a matter of honor — and honor still matters. To us, masks are associated with cowardly desperados /1

If Mamdani did this, someone from the USG - probably State Dept diplomatic security - would release him and charge Mamdani with a crime. And that assumes the NYPD would even obey an order to arrest someone with diplomatic immunity with no local, state, or US charges.
Not sure why that matters. Us not having an obligation doesn't preclude him from grabbing the guy, locking him up, and then sending him to a country he has no connection to. Trump and the courts have seen to it that we can send non citizens to wherever we feel like.
What an incredible putz.
Stephen Miller: "All that bullshit is done, over, it's finished. The gangbangers you deal with- they think they're ruthless? They have no idea how ruthless we are. They think they're tough? They have no idea how tough we are. They think they're hardcore? We are so much more hardcore than they are"

The United States is not a signatory to the ICC.
Zohran Mamdani: “If Netanyahu comes to deliver a speech at the United Nations General Assembly in New York next year while I am mayor, I will move to honor the ICC arrest warrant issued in The Hague against him — just as I would against Putin."
I doubt that, in their private thoughts, they refer to him as the commander in chief. I’m sure there are many terms they use as they cogitate privately, but I’m wagering that C in C is way down the list.
Don't forget her specious defamation action which is DOA but also occupied her time and attention.

Really, is anyone surprised? She is the same highlight seeking, money grifting opportunist that her husband was.
Maybe a “fecklobate” - a feckless reprobate?
Of course, the House isn’t the problem. It’s the 60 votes the need in the Senate to avoid a filibuster. The R’s don’t have them.
You’re in the majority. Pass it yourself.
Mike Johnson: "The WIC program, the nutrition program -- women, infants, and children -- that program won't be funded. FEMA won't be funded."
It’s bad enough that active duty flag officers must refrain from labeling Hegseth the idiot he is. But, retired officers can be reactivated and tried by court-martial if they use “contemptuous” words to describe this fool. I explain the problem here.

Trump insulted Jasmine Crockett yesterday as a “very low IQ person.” reprising his preferred insult for Black women.

FWIW, Crockett's law degree is from a school ranked 36 spots higher than the one attended by Trump's Attorney General and 78 spots higher than the one attended by his FBI director..

If Comey is charged, keep this mind. 👇

Seems like charging Comey is more about retribution than justice.

It’s rich that Trump thinks people should be indicted for lying. Nobody has to go back five years and twist reality to find Trump lying.

Some perspectives age particularly well abetted, in this case, by a fatuous judicial opinion enabling a witless wannabe authoritarian.
Zealotry unleashed by fanatics taking their cue from the President of the United States.
If Democrats don't make this the biggest story in the country for the next several days - and either force Republicans to denounce it or not, what are we even doing here? Every voter should know about this. (Imagine what would happen if, say, Mother Jones wrote this.) www.nytimes.com/2025/09/26/b...

I can't help but notice that he was also not wearing a mask — meaning that it's much harder for ICE to pretend they don't know who he is and much easier for potential future lawsuits. (As I wrote in May:
www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/202... )
In a genuine WOW moment, this administration publicly acknowledges (perhaps for the first time) that an ICE officer violated procedure and will be taken off duty and subject to an investigation. This is a step in the right direction — I just wish it wasn't only because of such an awful viral video.
Concur, wholeheartedly.

Look, if you think Comey's error of judgment cost Hillary the presidency and put us in this mess, you should also know that, as Deputy AG, he stood up to Dick Cheney and refused to endorse the Bush warrantless surveillance program until critical changes were made.
Because this administration thinks everyone believes the rules only matter when it helps “your side” (like they do), they are counting on Comey’s unpopularity to normalize this.

Don’t let it. Whatever you think of him or his actions in the past, etc. this indictment is dangerous and an outrage.
That would be right here where he muses about Trump as "America's Hitler." Given his pathetic sycophancy, I suspect it takes considerable self-control for Vance to avoid referring to Trump in public as "Fuhrer."

I also might note that, for retired military officers, there is a tool to silence them w/o the benefit of a grand jury proceeding - or a trial requiring an Article III judge and a unanimous jury verdict.

I explain how Article 88 of the UCMJ works here.
