Ask whether what you're doing is useful and constantly interrogate for this. Why this intervention? Does it work? How do we know? Be brave! If there isn't good evidence for something working (e g coloured paper/lenses) don't just roll over and do it.

Firstly, (got this from @bennewmark.bsky.social) don’t ask teachers to do things you don’t/have not done.

Secondly, look at the evidence base on aspects of the literature linked to school priorities.

It’s too broad and aspirational in nature - it relies on hope not trust.

Inclusive practice requires clarity of core elements (scaffolding, chunking, DI etc.) so as to ground the heady heights of QFT in measurable strategies that are built on true trust accountability not simply trust.

It’s not glib- it’s important.
Yes there is an imperative for rapid change, yes there is a range of research and yes there’s whatever good idea Sam had for their NPQ.
But these are also adult professionals/ with agency, and experience and voice.

Be open, honest and upfront with staff. Get some early adopters to trial the process. Undertake staff voice on their feedback about the process. Share the development of the process itself with staff.
