i would go farther and say that, especially in this case, additional tags are a mere courtesy.

if the author chose not to use warnings you must assume there be dragons. read or not is your call, but please, this is a tag for a reason.

i struggle with a brain that wants to stiffly copy whatever reference i'm using and one thing i've found helpful:
1. draw big blocky shapes over the reference
2. turn off ref and redraw big blocky shapes
3. draw in figure with big blocky shapes overlaid
