I *just* finished The Return and it elevates the Eva-Peaks brainrot on a scale that I thought was impossible before. The way it ends feels like a twisted version of Shin Eva's ending, if that makes any sense.

FWWM works so well as a thematic finale it kinda made me wary of continuing beyond it, but from what I know The Return actually *improved* upon what was introduced in the movie so I'm even more cautiously excited.

The way both FWWM and EoE end with the message of there's always a chance of love and salvation to come to you no matter how fucked up you thought you were absolutely ruined me.
