Genuinely insanely happy at the new set being announced. Maybe it’s me being a Debbie downer but there is no guarantee that the game will ever continue past any world championships. This pretty much confirms that I’ll be playing at events in 2026. Trying to not take any events for granted. :)

I think there are multiple decks that are good and that I’m good with - which one is the one that gets me the most likely to win I have no clue.

Kinda cool of Master Duel Master Chef to be a bit of a trip down memory lane. Reminds me of my favorite TCG deck of all time in Pascal Kihm’s Demise Sky Striker which is just an incredible deck and such a neat deck for the format.

Ended the day 2-4. Basically, if I had to describe the day, every one of my losses was winnable if *anything* breaks my way in them. Not taking away anything from the winners - they didn’t need the luck but one of those days for me haha. Ah well. I’ll get the next one

1-2. Lost to Yuna Viking.
Not getting backups down early hurt, never found a Cecil for a defensive backbone and by the time I had the ability to play, it was too late. Really annoying - I think this is the second game that I lost due to factors I can’t really control.

Early Totto did exactly what was needed and reset the board state. Lots of gas in the deck, proceeded to draw dead the next few rounds into bleeding out. Frustrating - game was winnable if I see any good cards after the board wipe.

First competitive season win was the Seymour BGBG LQ - I took Leo this time. Deck is really strong and quite fun to play… although still very degenerate. I didn’t realize until now how much the LB deck helps the strategy.

Huh… this is actually really, really cool. Never expected the FF Magic crossover to actually acknowledge FFTCG’s existence. Going to be really funny when Magic players hold these and realize how amazing FF’s cardboard and print quality is.

It’s dumb but a good world map genuinely adds sooooo much more to a game than an open world or interconnected zones with fast travel, while being cheaper and easier resource wise. It’s mind boggling how rare it is these days.

Just a damn good character design too, communicates so much about her from how she fights to her personality, her having a relatively stoic demeanor but they gave her a cute little tail ribbon to show a touch of a softer side

No wonder the character endures perhaps more than Square expected lol

Yeah, this is a GOAT format for me I think. Maybe the best since Opus 16 but even back then, I don’t think we had the deck diversity that we have now. There are *sooooo* many decks that can win events right now it’s wild.

Genuinely might be a GOAT FFTCG format. I think there are something in the range of 10-15 decks that are capable of winning a major event and even with that diversity, the decks and games feel skill testing and diverse.

I know I say it every time but Master Duel is allergic to making real positive changes to their game.

Awesome, we put Maiden to 2 and we’re still refusing to do anything about Snake Eyes or Appo or Curious. Is it that hard to even accidentally get a proper ban list?
