I ordered a book from Amazon & they delivered it to the wrong house. I'm getting a replacement so it will be OK. But here is my real problem: the people that got the book. They didn't think to bring it to my house? They just what, kept it, tossed it, gave it away? I had a pair of sneakers delivered

I went to the nearest Barnes & Noble and awkwardly explained to someone at the help desk that I had a new book out and asked where it might be (it's genre fluid) and it was faced out (!) Then she took some pictures, had me sign their books, and said they'd already sold a copy. A win/win/win.
