Reposting so I can pin this. Below is part of a thread I wrote including my Watsonian redefinition of the term “Star Destroyer”
Previous type entries have made note of the appropriate deployment of a particular type, with special regard to campaign operations. Star Destroyer as defined here overrides those generalized parameters. It is the assessment of [Redacted] to append the designation “Star Destroyer”…
For the gazillionth time, this. They’re right *on average*. That’s not the same thing as either right or smart.
Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.
They’re definitely using “AI” as a shield from hard questions and possibly good ideas
Yeah road mobile ICBMs except IRBM range, shitty SRBM payload, and none of the penetrative ability of any of the above.
Just on SWAP-C, I’ll push the I Believe button on power. Weight and Size I’m skeptical. Cooling? You know, one of the bugbears of the F-35 program. Get the fuck outta here
“What if Typhon needed more maintenance and a small lake of jet fuel?”
“Genius! Genius I tell you!!”
Also lol lmao that because the X-13 tried to do a thing that technology is “mature”.
Yeah I reread this this morning hoping to find some sense, and it got worse. This launch platform is being towed by a HEMTT, a *ten ton truck*. You can’t drive that over huge fractions of the theater, and it sticks out everywhere it can go. This is insane. www.twz.com/wp-content/u...
And just like that, Anduril loses the title of Most Delusional Product Pitch.

This is nuts on dozens of different levels.
So YOU’RE why the J-36 kit was cursed! (Came with a mirrored key part. We’ll see how long sourcing a replacement takes.)
Because I’m a terrible person. My employer should have tipped you to that lol
For those curious about price I got it for $30 on sale
Both weapons bay and landing gear doors are an improvement on Sluban’s J-20, and given the relative upgrade in sophistication this kit has over past Sembo I suspect they learned.

Solid kit, recommend serious thought if this is your thing @mikeblack114.bsky.social @sebastianbae.bsky.social
I’m not usually a fan of stickers but these do add to the character and aren’t in big groups that have to be aligned.

I don’t know that I fully buy this interpretation of what wing elements will move (ditto weapons bays), but we’ll see what the production version of the jet looks like.
The break is roughly where the nose gear is when down. To its credit, the model can have the gear down and the bay doors closed, but has to come with a special tool for the nose gear because it’s got nearly no margin.
Built it in four hours, eight minutes. Could probably cut 45 off that with some parts search luck and a bit more strategy on Sembo’s part.

Very innovative use of negative space to build the main body of the jet, with only moderate pact on structural integrity between sections.
So as a moving out present to myself, I got the Sembo J-50 kit and the Sluban J-36 kit. Banged out the J-50 tonight, the following is my assessment. Short version, solid kit, worthy of consideration if it’s your kind of thing.
The most insulting thing I can think of is that I don’t need two hands to get enough fingers for the TRL of almost the entire Anduril catalog.
The enemy always gets a vote, that’s what makes war so goddamn difficult. That and friction.
I don’t recall saying “we”. But given the general incompetence and disorganized nature of this administration, I’m not about to risk manifesting the idea that they could successfully resist another election.
Failure to abide by this demand must be met by an immediate request to Congress for a declaration of war to enforce these demands with the full might of the Joint Force.
I am once again calling for a Democrat presidential inaugural address on January 20, 2029, demanding the immediate surrender of Bukele’s government for international prosecution, the return of *all American citizens and lawful residents*, and preparations for immediate independent elections.
This is just straight-up treason by rubio, he's wrecking our ability to fight organized crime in order to help bukele cover up his apparently cozy relationship with MS-13 leadership and possible theft of us foreign aid, all so trump et al can get photos of us sending hairdressers to torture prison
This story is extraordinary even by 2025 standards. Marco Rubio, the nation's top diplomat, made a deal with Bukele and agreed to renege on informant agreements in a years-long DOJ investigation into MS-13, totally undercutting credibility of such agreements.

But seriously do you need MEDEVAC or do you need CAS? Cuz I’m hearing CAS
