The last stressful appointment before Christmas was done today. I have a terrible headache, but am looking forward to lunch out tomorrow and gently easing into Christmas (on Black Eyed Friday, I know!).

It probably sounds a bit cruddy, but I just made myself an academic curriculum for the first quarter of 2026 to occupy my head, and it's really simple but also fun and I'm genuinely looking forward to getting my brain out there.
Also, I wrote a Lost Souls short story that I'm really proud of.

The Tasselled Wobbegong is a master of disguise that can eat a fish almost as big as itself in one gulp. It's classified as a shark, but when it lays on the sea floor it looks like a harmless rug if you manage to see it. But with powerful jaws and sharp teeth they are no fish to mess with.

I did the BlueSky annual words thingy, and OMG I've been such a whinging tart this year. Next year, will do better.
I also appear to have 5 large bags of clothes for charity, and yet still the wardrobe/ cupboard overflow. I'm such a charity shop tart (word of the day)! Resolving to be less spendy.
