James Ensor, My Portrait in the Year 1960 (1888)
In the print "My Portrait in 1960", Ensor: a skeletal creature, leaning back. From his skull, confused hair still sprouts, from which the waviness has already completely disappeared. Beside him moves a giant spider.

wasn't any karaoke but fun board games, AND communism came up
ginzhizhawizi.net
I'm gonna go play board games and maybe some karaoke so I don't lament the current state of working class consciousness or people not know what words mean or how things work.

my autism: "you are incorrect, be honest and admit you are wrong, I am incapable of understanding why you refuse to do this"

oh boy I'm gonna leave you with this, along with the pretext that "axioms live the border between idealism and materialism" and I disagree when he says "who's to say?" (you'll know when it happens)

Premium: The AI Bubble's promises are impossible. NVIDIA's customers are running out of money, GPUs die in 3-5 years, most 1GW data centers will never get built, and OpenAI's Abilene data center doesn't won't have the power it needs before 2028 - if it ever does.

The AI Bubble's Impossible Promises
Readers: I’ve done a very generous “free” portion of this newsletter, but I do recommend paying for premium to get the in-depth analysis underpinning the intro. That being said, I want as many people ...

the entire purpose of life is that it exists

a species propagates because it has the option to within the material
conditions it is existing in

this is again why you should consider dialectical materialism, otherwise you're gonna be stuck with an idealist worldview

OpenAI is about ten years old so if we can just wait another 8 years all the libertarians will lose interest in it

This is something that should never have to happen. No mom should be forced to leave their child in a different country like this. My heart hurts for them.

Today my daughter's preschool is holding a farewell assembly for one of her classmates whose mother has no choice but to self deport. The school is hoping it will be joyful in tone, so we might make this less upsetting for this 3 year old.

There's just no words for the uselessness of this cruelty.

here I'll just request that you study what Marx meant by a dictatorship: it's denoting which class is in charge and has the means to establish and push their social experiment

that is why we're currently in an epoch of dictatorships of capital, or dictatorships of the bourgeoisie: the ruling class.
ginzhizhawizi.net
and I'm not going to be able to speak to that - that's your presence of mind and a process of self-actualization that you'll have to continuously conduct, aided by self-criticism and applying a recognition of how reflection operates + your method of reckoning

I've formulated materialist confidence:

but that's why socialism has to be conducted with an understanding of what the end goal is supposed to be, and utilizing that framework in how they address immediate concerns and plan longterm production

and that's why you want a vanguard party to run admin for your dictatorship of the proletariat!
ginzhizhawizi.net
that's fair, it's also with Romans and the degree they were doing political subterfuge or going off of faith -

similar to the misguided methodology people have looked at the USSR and existing socialist nations with: "well surely they can't be happy! they don't live, act and think exactly like I do"
ginzhizhawizi.net
and what basis is your theory based on besides "it falls in line with what I'm already assuming to be true about human instincts"?

*hand on shoulder* I'm sorry to tell you, that's not scientific at all and I implore you to consider self-obliterating into a dialectical materialist, it will help you
ginzhizhawizi.net
are you finding "exceptions to all of these imperatives"?

no: you're failing to realize how material conditions around the world create different renderings of the base and superstructure relation to create different cultures

all of these cultures can (and do!) utilize the same modes of production
ginzhizhawizi.net
I think the question you have to ask is "who directed that [x] be constructed, for what reasons, and how were people utilized to complete it?"

there's no determinism that [x] was inevitable, historical materialism allows us to examine who is at the helm and how they incentivized/exploited resources

mixed reaction here:

"get the mutations that make autistic people" wow, holy shit, what the fuck, are you serious?

--

yes, we need socialism to succeed so we can scientifically work towards communism, because we have to see what conditions develop and perform dialectics to address contradictions.
ginzhizhawizi.net
"I think it's more like masking in autistic people"

and you are wrong, just outright

I'm autistic and self-aware, I'm not hiding anything

and coming back to what is pressure by the superstructure: what would push someone to hide themselves? demands for a sense of 'normalcy'? that's idealism
ginzhizhawizi.net
yes we exist individually, but the sum total of the world we have created around us has been a collective effort, even while it's at the behest of a ruling class exploiting an oppressed class

thus, our behaviors are political: it's an interplay of inherent autonomy and how we come together to exist
ginzhizhawizi.net
those laws are social reinforced (the peer pressure you discounted for some reason) and how people interpret and engage with those laws are, again, driven by societal development, which has been driven by how we produce commodities

same with attractiveness, the hips thing is a cart before the horse
ginzhizhawizi.net
yes, your body will tell you when you're hungry, or have the hots for somebody

but the experience of hunger, the way to address hunger and the material around you that creates the conditions that moment exists in

that's is driven by society, because humans also created society: modes of production
