Phantom of the Paradise (1974)
I never heard of this movie before being shown this, its kinda real neat. Slowish start but takes off after the prison break. Fun costume, fun surreal imagery, good singers. A lot of rocky horror vibes mixed in here. A hidden gem.

Just got done watching this entire series with a group of friends, and I gotta say, this filled a scrub sized hole in my heart. With the exception of Season 4 so many of these episodes were fun, I love the Dean. Good Good show.

James Gunn really loves comic media, and it translates to his film projects. John Cena is a lot of fun to watch. Whole crew was great, action was fun, and music was great. "There's never a bad time to rock and roll."

"The Monkey" (2025) This movie was really misrepresented in its advertisements. Very good dark-comedy/ horror. All the deaths are SO over the top you can't help but laugh. The editing in this movie is also REALLY funny. I enjoyed it quite a lot.

War of the Worlds (2025) This movie suuuucks, bad performances,lame cameras,and it feels like a lot like an amazon ad. What sorta sucks, is I can imagine a concept like this working for like a 20 minute horror short if any actual effort was put into it. Had fun with friends, would not recommend.

I can describe an axe entering a human skull in great explicit detail and no one will blink twice at it. I provide a similar description, just as detailed, of a penis entering a vagina, and I get letters about it and people swearing off. To my mind this is kind of frustrating, it's madness. Ultimately, in the history of [the] world, penises entering vaginas have given a lot of people a lot of pleasure; axes entering skulls, well, not so much.
