Surfer was also extremely careful with K because of her illness and thus lack of core strength. Good flat work session but K was too weak to jump correctly.

Pixie says to pass on good thoughts and prayers to some horses we know who are going through the same eye issue she had several months ago. Eye treatment is always intricate and time consuming. But so worth it! Pixie had full recovery!

Hackleton, bless his heart, also tried to make up for K’s lack of core strength by hastening the frequency of the trot. He is such a dear!!!

Nileist rode flat well and took care of K, who’s still battling her cold which was likely the flu or Covid, now that we think about it. Her core strength is low during illness, so we keep it basic.

Pixie came over for a deep grooming, massage and stretch. She’s learning to take advantage of K’s bodywork abilities. Huge difference for her!

By emphasizing the symmetry and focus, Pie starts moving evenly and covering ground using her rear leg engine first. Impressive.

Pie is heavily in season and benefitted greatly from a cool shower which brought her back in focus. She is so healthy but very hormonal, so K’s focusing her on arena workouts.

The rusty red tarantula is native to the Paso Robles area. Every fall, the males journey far and wide to find a mate. K assured Gerald that he is a fine looking young man and will assuredly find his mate!

Yesterday, Nileist introduced K to Gerald or “Gerry” the rusty red male tarantula who was crossing Nileist’s pasture looking for a date. K was so enamored with him!
