having now finished it, the plot seems out of tone with the first two as well. this and sounds of nightmares both sorta feel like little nightmares fanfic.

it has the shape of a little nightmares game. i will give it that.

initial impressions of little nightmares 3: the tension isn't there and the monster designs aren't as unsettling. the gameplay is mostly unchanged from 2 with a couple new gimmicks. it's still pretty and the new characters are kind of interesting, but it doesn't grab you like the earlier titles.
