thoughts on yokai watch 3 so far: this is my first in the series. combat is very different but it only took me 3 or 4 and reading a guide on stats and other stuff to feel like I understood what was going on. combats really cute and fun!

it had never occurred to me to listen to ymo's live performances but that seems like a better way to listen to the first couple of albums' material than the studio albums

its possible i was never especially good at them in the first place but i think enough time went by in my life where i didnt/couldnt play "competitive" video games that i not only fell off a lot in skill, but also in my interest in playing them at all

its suuuuch a bummer level 5 seems insistent on the use of generative ai in their pre-production and asset creation specifically because like.. idk nobody makes cute games anymore but THEY do.
