obviously yokai watch is very silly but it does that confidently. I like that the maps have wandering generic npcs that say generic stuff and static npcs who say the funny stuff

it’s kind of weird that there are tribes and also traditional rpg “elements.” The two don’t really relate mechanically but I wonder why they didn’t just pick one to fill both roles

it makes for a great rpg for kids in that it can be played very simply or with a lot of attention. there’s room to really nerd out over strategies. you play little minigames during combat which I’m sure get annoying after hundreds of hours but if you are playing it that much that’s on you I think

ive annoyed many friends with stories of those games, which mostly just end up being me saying "well, its hard to explain, it was mostly just funny to evan and i" lol

mostly i enjoyed it for the time spent with friends. its hard to get people to play a video game with u other than these kind of games, probly cause as you get older and have to structure your life around all kinds of stuff, knowing a match of this or that will only ever take 30 mins is key

Demon slayer has novel artwork at least. I think both rush to create excitement. Both feel overly ambitious in what Subjects they want their narratives to Deal With. I got about as far as you did in both of them.
