Tried a few ways to make a laser scanner effect in Geo Nodes. Trickiest part was creating realistic ray interactions w/ objects a proper scan-line effect. Never been this hyped for a Blender plugin. Poly Hammer's Metahuman DNA addon = total game changer. I tried Blender’s dynamic paint but hit it's limit so switched to #GeoNodes to make these muddy footprints. Simple setup: raycast for indents, masks for shading. Still needs optimising but I think it's already looking pretty good #b3d #3dart #3dartist #geometrynodes #blenderart #blenderartist

Super into the crumbling buildings from The Last of Us, so I've been messing around in Blender with Geometry Nodes to see if I can pull off some kind of procedural destruction. Started off as an innocent experiment and quickly spiralled into a full modifier with responsive destruction. Enjoy!
