While our story hotline is taking calls any time, you can also come to an IN-PERSON story sharing and recording session we’re hosting at Quatrefoil Library on Saturday, August 9 from 3-5 pm.
THE WE HELP US HOTLINE

Sharing Stories of LGBTQIA Mutual Aid

Join us for an afternoon of story exchange, where attendees will share experiences of queer mutual aid (receiving it, offering it, or both). These stories of community care will be audio recorded for potential use in a narrative art project. Most will also be archived at the Jean-Nickolaus Tretter Collection in Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Studies at the University of Minnesota, which is the biggest LGBTQIA archive in the upper Midwest and one of the largest in the country.

Hosted by Good Judy Productions, a new narrative podcast studio in Minneapolis, and Quatrefoil Library, the second oldest circulating LGBTQIA library in the United States.

SAT. AUGUST 9TH, 3 P.M.-5 P.M.
QUATREFOIL LIBRARY
1120 E. LAKE ST.
MINNEAPOLIS, MN

visit wehelpusmn.com for more info

This project is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board and a grant from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council, both thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.

We’ll be chatting about queer and trans mutual aid, with equipment on hand to record your story. These recordings will be archived by the Jean-Nickolaus Tretter Collection in GLBT Studies at the University of Minnesota, and potentially used in a future narrative audio series ❤️

Happy Pride! For @racketmn.com, I gathered a group of Minnesotans who are passionate about community care and asked them why LGBTQIA mutual aid matters. Read their responses here: racketmn.com/we-help-us-1...
