The Levi’s was an effective ad because it closely tied together the concept and the brand.

What channel is the Rizzoli & Isles marathon?

Super Bowl commercials have been crap for well over a decade. They maintain cultural relevance because they provide easy media content and an accessible subject of conversation that anyone can talk about.

Love the opening ceremony outfits
February 6, 2026 at 8:40 PM
I assume the Winter Olympics opening ceremonies is a faithful recreation of Cinema Paradiso followed by a ninety-minute performance of that fake American song from the 1970s.

In the early 2000s, there was a terrible reality "next great fast food restaurant" competition show in which Bobby Flay had an entertaining meltdown over two clueless proto-influencer contestants who did not know the difference between grilling and barbecue.
a lot of people call grilling “barbecue” I hope this helps

My favorite loss of main character syndrome story was in college, a doofus pulled a fire alarm, the dorm met to decide his fate, but when told, the RA said "you don't get a say, he's already kicked out, and I had to quit for not reporting him sooner." Next day there's a new RA like nothing happened.

So what will be the weirdest mashup of random celebrities in a super bowl commercial this year?

My money is on:

--one of the Stranger Things kids (no, not that one, or that one, the other one)

--Gwendoline Christie

--poorly-rendered AI version of Ricardo Montalbán

Rescuers might have been the first time a movie disappointed me as a little kid. The ads suggested an animal super team up Dirty Dozen-style but like the dragonfly was barely in it, and there was not as much action and comedy as promised.
Today in the first round of the Walt Disney Animation Studios bracket, we’re feeling mousy. You can choose the heroine with mice who sew or the kidnapped girl saved by mice.

I've never heard a bad word said about any member of SCTV, ever, in any capacity. Perhaps the most-liked brilliant comedic performers ever.

Now wondering if the Royals would stay at the K if they got turn Arrowhead into a water slide park. The stairs, concessions, and restroom infrastructure is already in place.

Watched Wedding Crashers, and you can see in real time how the screenplay could be taught in a class on act problems.

First act is great. Funny, energetic, economically introduces the characters and gets you on their side. You get the sense the right people read the first act and greenlit it.

Also, where are you going to put it? I've seen your tiny apartments with your half-sized fridges and mini-freezers that barely fit a pint of gelato. Are you going to throw out your couch and build a new one out of toilet paper packages and boxes of raisin bran crunch?
The whole "stocking up on groceries before a snow storm in NYC" is always so funny to me because it's one of the very few places in the country where you don't actually have to do this. Everything will be open again in a day or so.
