I made a video, as I occasionally do. This one is about the world of email before we all started using Internet email, in particular company group mail.

Spent the day at the @computinghistory.org.uk at the retro gaming event exhibiting my A500+
And had a great day.
I will be there tomorrow, and it's not yet sold out, so if you are in the area come along!
You didn't even have to see me!

It managed to arrive on just the wrong day, but a week later it's finally in my hands.
Settlers 2 for the Amiga.
Even if the only machine it will run on is my A4000 and it can still struggle!

Been busy organizing a move and not been posting much.
But here is a quick one with the current nails, I'm sure it's going to get chipped to hell and back next week.
This one is burnished bronze.

New movie review is up! This time I watched Stealth, from 2005c about a rogue AI-powered fighter jet that (predictably) goes a bit wrong, except instead of hallucinating fake articles, it starts picking its own missile targets. Oops!
A ★½ review of Stealth (2005)
A science fiction spin on Top Gun that feels somewhat prescient in hindsight, Stealth introduces us to three elite Navy fighter pilots - Ben (Josh Lucas), the "ace pilot"; Henry (Jaime Foxx), a womani...

Duke Nukem 3D, a game with a decent number of Add-On's
Some licensed some not, and one that even got sued.
And guess which we are looking at in this video.

The Amiga had amazing original games, some got interesting ports to the PC Platform.
And I decided it could be fun to check them out to see how good they were.

Public Domain Magazine, the bible of free software for Amiga, ST and PC has never been scanned. Until now!

We look at its complex coverdisk, how you got free software when the internet was only 3 months old and what connects this show and the magazine within a magazine.

Been continuing with my crazy GBA Esp32 experiment.
And made huge progress this weekend.

My current video using an esp32 might have bombed hard, but that doesn't mean I won't continue trying to do crazy things with them.

My weird eye thing I mentioned the other day.
Turns out a blood vessel in my eye popped and what I am seeing is blood!
No idea how it happened, even the optometrist was baffled.
It should fade with time, but guess who now has to see a specialist in a few months time.
September 3, 2025 at 7:59 AM
Not sure if this is a sign of getting old or what, but I've suddenly gotten this weird spider in a web style floater in my right eye.
It moves around with my vision as well, and has been persistent since yesterday evening.
Got an appointment with the optometrist tomorrow.

At the end of 2004 the Playstation 2 was king. A warning to Sony though as 3 seemingly unassailable game series have challenges coming, but do any of them score a direct hit?
