We take pride in our beautiful state, and #BreakingBadHabits shows keeping it clean is something we can do together. Thanks to all who joined today's cleanup, and to Albuquerque Citizens Council and Imagine ABQ for making it easy to get involved. We all play a role in keeping NM beautiful.

Tierra Walker’s life mattered — as did those of Amber, Candi, Josseli and Nevaeh. Extremist #abortion bans are killing women and leaving children without their mothers. There’s nothing “pro-life” about this. New Mexico will keep protecting women and providing them with real care.

Trump now says he didn’t mean his “punishable by death” remark as a threat. Given this summer’s political violence, his denial is as reckless as the remark itself.

Orwell warned us about leaders who tell you to ignore your own eyes and ears.

Sorry, Mr. President. We’re not ignoring anything.

Winter finally decided to show up! I’ll take #snow season over wildfire season any day. Bundle up, drive smart and enjoy the magic while it lasts.

The nation is facing a nursing shortage, and Trump’s Department of Education now says nursing isn’t a “professional degree,” cutting students off from federal grants and loans. What?!

This decision carries more than a whiff of sexism, given that 88 percent of nurses are women.
Nursing is no longer counted as a 'professional degree' by Trump admin
The Department of Education has excluded nursing as a "professional degree" program as it implements various changes to student loans.

New Mexico’s got the looks — now let’s make sure she’s holiday photo ready.

Come out to our #BreakingBadHabits Clean Up on Saturday, Nov. 22 in the International District.

If you’re tired of seeing litter, this is your moment. Show up, glove up and let’s #keeplitterout of our neighborhoods.

New Mexico has always been front and center in shaping the frontiers of American defense. This project helps carry that legacy forward — creating high-paying jobs, advancing national security and proving once again that NM is where bold ideas take flight.

Appreciate this update about the city of Española and public safety, Councilor LeDoux. Resources deployed under my executive order — including more patrols and National Guard support — are making a big difference. We’re focused on restoring safety for families and businesses across the region.

The president is threatening to dismantle the Department of Education and slash more than $120M from our higher-ed system but, rest assured, New Mexico will keep protecting student aid, supporting our colleges and ensuring higher education remains accessible for all.

From the US National Weather Service: “Confidence is increasing that western and north central NM will be favored for rain and mountain snow Sunday through early Monday. Until then, near record temperatures will be on tap! High temperatures will be 10 to 20 degrees above normal through Saturday.”

#VeteransDay reminds us to honor those who have given so much to protect our freedom. I am eternally grateful for my late father, U.S. Air Force veteran Buddy Lujan, and for every veteran whose service strengthens our communities and our nation.

We told New Mexicans we would stand up for them, and that’s exactly what we’ve done. New Mexicans won’t go hungry while Republicans in Washington, D.C. manufacture crisis after crisis.

After 25 years in childcare, Rita Bee from Gallup has seen firsthand how quality early childhood education shapes lives. Childcare centers are community pillars that give children an excellent start, free parents to work, and strengthen local economies.

We’ve seen history made and progress achieved because of Nancy Pelosi’s legendary leadership in Congress. Thank you, Madame Speaker, for exemplifying what principled public service looks like. We wish you well in retirement!

We acted fast in October when the Trump administration abandoned New Mexican families, and now the legislature is coming back to finish the job.

Today’s court rulings confirm what we already knew: there’s no reason to deny food to vulnerable Americans. Still, New Mexico will continue to move forward with $30M in state-funded food benefits tomorrow so families can keep food on the table.
