Over the past day or so my feelings on this have gone like:
-deep concern
-massive relief
-great pride in the Korean people's willingness to fight for their democracy
-uproarious laughter at Yoon's 'couldn't organize a piss-up at a brewery' incompetence

More details from 'martial law night' in Korea according to my Korean friend - similarly lacklustre military forces were also sent to some specific independent media outlets and individual journalists homes. One popular news Youtuber is still essentially in hiding and calling into his regular show.

Catching up on the crazy news from South Korea, and it looks like a crisis has, for the most part, been averted. BBC News citing a Reuters report that Pres. Yoon is lifting martial law.
I think he had a bit too much soju, said "fuck it" and tried to do what any wannabe despot would. He failed.

Thanks Hallensteins for introducing me to Sleigh Bells (via use of this song in an ad back in 2010) and thus permanently fucking up my hearing.

Todd after realizing he missed the thing that brought the subject of today's OHW back into the public consciousness:
Saw a guy in a Mongrel Mob shirt at the shops near my place earlier today, clearly unbothered by any legislation that would make said shirt illegal. Not intimidating anyone, just getting on with their day. This is not an uncommon occurrence in Napier, and everyone knows to just leave them alone.
National in #nzqt today: gangs, gangs, gangs, gangs. Don't talk about te Tiriti, just gangs.

David Seymour asked a conniving question that didn’t need asking.
The answer was loud and clear.
Put your racist, divisive Treaty Principles Bill in the bin!

For those of you that know Wellington, hold the map in your heads; the line of people, 20+ abreast, stretched from Courtenay Place, down Manners St, down Willis St, down Lambton Quay. To meet thousands already at Parliament. And this *isn't the back*. Any count under 30k cannot be credible.
This was the corner of Taranaki and Courtenay, near to when the front of the hikoi was reaching Parliament

Let me put it this way - Logan Paul is a far better pro wrestler than Jake Paul is a boxer.
And I hate both of them equally.

I doubt there are many on this site who play Call of Duty, but today is Black Ops 6 launch day. I'd love to be playing it right now, but I am a moron who ordered a physical copy and didn't realize today and Monday are public holidays, so no shooty bang bang for me til Tuesday.

So the #PS5Pro is real - and it will cost US$700. That's $1137.46 in NZ dollars.
Add taxes and you're looking at around $1300, making it by far the most expensive console of my lifetime.
Uhh, that's gonna be a no from me.

Waking up to another day where the Destiny community is on fire. At least this time we know who lit the match.

According to this @radionz article from last night, I should be in Paris right now.
Considering I'm 120kg and haven't swum competitively in nearly two decades, I can only assume timelines have been messed up.
Regardless, good luck other Cameron Gray and the rest of @TheNZTeam!

Thank you @Bungie @Destiny2Team for creating one of the most cathartic gaming experiences I've ever had with @DestinyTheGame The Final Shape.
It's been a long, rough ride, but bringing 12 strangers together to take the Witness down was the perfect way to cap off this saga.
