Whilst other councils in London are finally catching up and proposing safe cycling schemes Hackney Council, yet again, proposes terrible designs 20 years out of date, with cycle lanes that give up at every bus stop and junction. Do have your say consultation.hackney.gov.uk/streetscene/...

We need stricter rules to stop this and ensure every development delivers the affordable homes communities need.

Share and promote Black-owned haircare brands on your socials. Educate others on why supporting Black ownership matters in an industry that profits heavily from us. Reflect on your own relationship with your hair and celebrate its beauty, versatility, and cultural power. Encourage salons, stylists, and suppliers to stock and champion Black-owned brands. This month isn't just about hair-it's about power, culture, and ownership. Black women are the largest consumers in the Black hair industry, yet ownership and representation are still minimal. By uniting our purchasing power, we show the industry that we demand better quality, more representation, and more Black-owned leadership.
