Theo licked the spoon clean, already missing the way it calmed his taste buds, and set it on the counter.

Theo’s eyes popped open, followed with a soft moan as the sweet and salty flavors swam across his tongue. Theo couldn’t believe how delectable it was and why he hadn’t tried it sooner.

“I bloody well told you,” Blaise mumbled. “Always think I’m trying to poison you.”

Theo sighed, closed his eyes and then opened his mouth carefully. His nose scrunched up as if it physically pained him to be near it.

“You’re such a child,” Blaise rolled his eyes and dipped the caramel coated spoon into Theo’s mouth.

Blaise always prompted him to try new things despite the fact that Theo was perfectly fine eating fish and chips for the rest of his life.

Blaise held the spoon out to him — a brown, sticky texture dripped from silver. Theo made eye contact with it and shuddered.

They're upset because fanfic authors were supposed to stay in their basements, on their laptops, and be ashamed of their accomplishments. A tradpub author who sold 500 copies of their 1k print run was higher on the totem pole than a fic author with 100k unique readers. That was the deal.
