Canada will face hard times for a period, but trust PM Carney to rebuild the economy to one that resembles Germany, Japan, and South Korea in size and dynamism. Given time, the US will seek free trade renewal because it needs what Canada supplies. It's a time for Canadian patience and adaptability.
