I made chicken Florentine last night, substituting coconut cream instead of heavy cream, and found it was both delicious and didn't hurt my body at all afterward!

I get to have one of my favorite meals back! Take that, lactose intolerance!

Not at all, I inherited it from my grandfather and it's kinda nice to know that, disassociating aside, there were moments in my "fuck I'm in my 20's" where I felt smug about an accomplishment from time to time!

I am the kind of lactose intolerant which leads to stuffy nose and bad sleep apnea at night, so I can't have anything with heavy cream in it without consequences.

Tonight I made chicken Florentine with coconut cream instead of dairy and I am SO SMUG ABOUT IT.

I checked out a bunch of "How to code" books for children yesterday, and I've been scouring various feeds looking for tutorials because I feel boxed in and coerced by a technology I rely on.

So I will do SCIENCE to it.

I don't know what I don't know but I DO know I feel boxed in (and condescended to) and I don't like that.

Yeah, gpa was 18 when the US dropped the sun on Japan a couple times. He had a pair of actual WW1 helmets in his study and I knew more about the world wars than most of my classmates when we finally studied it in high school.

He was determined to make sure I carried the memory.

It's been a minute since Wisconsin has poleaxed me with Culture Shock. I was beginning to think my West Coast ass had acclimated.

A plastic shell in a cold case with twelve uh. Objects in it that the label on the lid calls 'Wisconsin Sushi.' it appears to be deli sliced ham wrapped around a pickle that's been wrapped inside a layer of cream cheese.

The display label to the bottom left describes the ingredients and the price, $5.99, in chalk pen.

Currently reading Naomi Novik's Scholomance series, which is...a strongly worded rant at both Ursula K. LeGuin's "Those who walk away from Omelas", and the Harry Potter books.

If you loved HP and want better for yourself, I recommend it. The protagonist is a proper bisexual disaster.
