Always remember that If they build the camps, they will fill the camps.
In the last month ICE has bought warehouses in:

- Hagerstown, MD: $102 million
- Surprise, AZ: $70 million
- Hamburg, PA: $87 million
- Tremont, PA: $120 million
- San Antonio, TX: $82 million
- El Paso, TX: $123 million
- Social Circle, GA: price unknown

This is unprecedented.

Seen in NYC at 425 Park Ave. How exactly do they expect this to work? Scanning sky (at night) while walking?
Average icicle reaches terminal velocity in ca 50 m and then falls at 90 mph. Building is 262 m high. So that is ~7 floors in 1 sec.
How do you watch for that coming towards you from above??

Rita Levi-Montalcini was raised by a strict father who disapproved of women in higher ed.

She convinced him to let her study medicine.

She went on to co-discover the Nerve Growth Factor. She received the Nobel Prize in 1986.

She was another immigrant that gifted the US with pioneering work.

Starting a trip. Going from feels like -25°C /-13°F freezer 🥶 in NY…

🌎✈️✈️✈️…✈️✈️✈️🌏

…to 30°C/90°F sauna 🥵 in Singapore.

~50° C / 100° F 🌡️ difference. Brutal. But will be nice to get out of the freezing cold and talk some science for a few days.

No joke: I got angry hate mail today for writing an obituary of a Black woman scientist—because the person felt she did didn’t deserve the recognition.
