mostly i use that as a way to turn some of my KOs into part of the narrative kdfghldf musosai killed me twice so now grishkin saw her death the night before and was prepared to dodge in Crucial Moments. OH OH OH and sometimes echo-havers can appear in/witness each others dreams if they sleep nearby

grishkin usually remembers them pretty clearly. she grew up being taught they were lessons from the subconscious that she needs to interpret. i also hc that the echo sometimes shows her glimpses of moments soon to come where she's killed, so that she can avoid that outcome in real life

it def affects her afterwards too. i hc that grishkin suffers chronic pain for years bc the Light combined with her cells and can't be easily removed. she gets her personality back though! just now has to spend a lot more time consciously resting and recuperating w specific medication and treatments

it's also visible physically but she's usually covered completely head to toe. in the rare moments she takes off her mask u can see the roots of her hair are lightening and she's starting to get gold speckles in her eyes. her canines get longer too, like she's fitted a white-gold set over the top

physical contact became impossible bc whenever she touches a living thing, aether-osmosis happens and Light leeches out of her body into the other :// the Light also corrodes some aspects of her personality as she loses herself and she becomes extremely irritable and short-tempered

gender-wise grishkin would call herself a 'daughter' before a 'woman', though both are accurate. for sexuality she'd probably say something waffley and vaguely culty like "i live by menphina's guidance and am open to loving all those under her light". in a modern au she'd just say queer
