In this weeks community-based arts and horticulture project based at Kirkgate Railway Station, we made sand based terrariums-perfect for cactus 🌵 who can survive longer without a drink, so good in well draining sand.

By close of play Friday the small Pride team will have laid over 1000m2 of turf in 4 days and planted up 8 front plots including laying 10 tons of top soil.

Green hubs on tour, site visit two was to Upperby, Buchan Place where they hold regular Thursday sessions 10-2 with an impressive amount of produce, lovely warm and dry polytunnels and friendly members. What a hidden gem of a place, nestled discreetly between houses.
