After a few days and another reread, time to share my thoughts on the new short story, The Void Between.
Thread will be long, but tl;dr: This is a *great* character piece for Rommath and Umbric, but a frustrating continuation of ongoing worldbuilding issues for the elves. 🧵

I am getting this impression all over the game lately, honestly. Everywhere is this pervasive sense that a crew has co-opted the game and its races and aesthetics and have supplanted it all with their OCs. Void Elves to start, dracthyr, haranir, all of Shadowlands. Identity subversion everywhere.

Its SO petty. Like this is all totally the result of someone who just wants red high elves and resents people who give a shit about the belfs. Like the heritage armor and the guards were updated yeeeeeears after TBC and the artists then thought green was still ok so??

I still think Hallowfall is one of the best zones theyve ever done
(I do wish TWW had spent more time in its launch zones so I could do even more stuff there. RIP whatever the Beledar story was meant to be)
