obo is highly optimistic in spite of all the hardships and tragedy in their life. they hold onto the beauty of the world their parent's showed them, and believe things will always turn out okay with enough effort.
they rarely show this however, and don't talk about hope, bc doing so may jinx it

obo sees themself as a flawed and bad person overall, often getting themselves down in the dumps over all their wrongdoings and giving into vices to feed the cycle.
but really, they are an inherently good person that just has a lot of 'do bad things or die' situations

there's something worth analyzing about how obo mostly involves themself with people twice their age (more likely to die before them), or people with longevity (will outlive obo regardless of whether or not they die in battle)
