I don’t often touch on politics here. But when noise replaces facts and fear replaces thinking, silence helps no one. This one’s about unity, not jerseys. #Canada #Unity
Adult Politics in a Toddler Era
I try, as much as possible, to keep politics off this blog. Not because I don’t care, but because this space has always been about perspective, humour, and the lighter side of life. Lord knows we get enough outrage and doom-scrolling elsewhere. That said, there are moments when staying silent feels less like positivity and more like avoidance. Given the current political climate, this is one of those moments where speaking up matters.

The #Habs need one goalie to start making saves on a more regular basis. We know that Monty is hot and cold and at this point in his career, he is what he is.

They are resting their hopes on Dobeš, a young goalie, to be consistent but that's rarely the case. #GoHabsGo

I was sitting at the bar and asked the lady beside me: “Spit or swallow?” She slapped me in the face and left. I’m never talking to women on a wine tour again!

In spite of their resilience, is it possible that an injection of healthy bodies to the #Habs lineup would be beneficial? Maybe getting Dach and Laine, well rested, soon and then Newhook in March would help.

But a trade for a legit top-6 winger with grit seems needed. #GoHabsGo

Finland leads the way ... good first step
Finland intends to criminalise the dissemination of false information on behalf of a foreign state. The goal is to make the systematic dissemination of fake information punishable when the perpetrator knowingly acts on behalf of a foreign intelligence service.

PM Carney hinted at assembling Chinese vehicles in Canada.

Sweden offers Gripen fighter jets built in Canada.

Meanwhile, Trump slaps tariffs on auto parts, pushes plants back to the US, and controls F-35 software and price.

Listening and reading some bits and pieces of the French media covering the #Habs in Montreal. We should not criticize:
- Monty
- Danault
- Bolduc
- Carrier

But it's open season on:
- Dobeš
- Gallagher
- Laine
- Dach
- even Kapanen!

Hmm... I wonder why? #GoHabsGo #NeverChange

Say what you will about PM Carney, he consulted with:

- all Premiers.
- all leaders of other federal parties
- Jean Chretien
- even Stephen Harper!

That's what working FOR Canada is about. Balance and unity instead of slogans and division. #CdnPoli

Passion does not vanish with age. It hides. Usually somewhere between the fridge and the sink, waiting for a song and a little courage. #love #connection
Accidental Touches, Intentional Sparks
Nobody sat us down and said, “One day, the most seductive thing in your house will be a crooked kitchen floor and a song you forgot you loved.” They warned us about taxes, gravity, and cholesterol. They warned us about boredom. They never warned us about the quiet return of desire through the back door, carrying groceries and a smirk.

The #Habs must be very careful to not repeat the #Leafs mistake by having too weak (physically) of a top-6 forward group. Talent is important, but grit wins you games in the playoffs. That grit needs to play major minutes, not on the 4th line. #GoHabsGo

I saw a few LA games while living in BC and I remember thinking that Bergevin did the right thing by not agreeing to Danault's demands.
