Mostly posting about printing and painting sci-fi & fantasy miniatures. Mainly Warhammer 40k, but easily distracted.
Also, the occasional post on dodgy old motorcycles & Scottish Football banter.

Like most of them, his first loyalty and first priority is to himself.

Took me years to figure out that The Uninvited Guest was most likely a tongue in cheek dig at Fish, as he still loomed large in interviews back when Hogarth joined and they were still playing his songs initially.

Remember when files were released showing that all the rich folk were offshoring their wealth to avoid paying tax? Yeah, that disappeared pretty quickly and nothing happened. I suspect this will eventually go same way.

I never bothered too much with Hogarth era stuff. Enjoyed first album and then pretty much ignored them in favour of Fish's solo stuff. Oddly my friend did the exact opposite. We occasionally traded albums we particularly liked.

Fugazi is the tricky second album. A number of the songs are older and are very different to the versions forming part of their live set. I think it’s the weakest of their output with Fish.

Bit stormy out in the Firth of Forth this afternoon.

I’m a little to the west, which works out about right.

Councils who have made it harder and harder to drive and/or park, or hideously expensive to do so, in town centres need to accept responsibility for stores leaving in droves and setting up in out of town developments that don’t do any of that and are actually welcoming for shoppers.

Notable that they quite rightly don’t view lager as “beer”.

Ta. It's a little darker in real life. The overhead light makes it look paler.

Dug out this bottle for tonight’s Super Bowl. I have a number of ‘limited edition’ bottles, but hadn’t come across this one before. A Christmas gift. I like the very obvious “don’t drink and drive” message on a bottle of alcohol released in collaboration with a motor racing team.

We never used the term "cake batter" when I was a kid, we said "cake mix." When I first heard cake batter, in my early 20s, I assumed someone took a slice of cake, dipped it in batter and deep fried it. As I'm Scottish I don't think this is completely unreasonable.

Interesting camouflage. Suitable for night flying in dense jungle undergrowth.
