Seriously, what the FUCK is going on over in /r/homelabsales?

Last week going rate for 256GB was $1k USD, now it's 128GB for $1k USD.

WHO IS PAYING THESE PRICES? ARE YOU PEOPLE CRAZY???

I'm fortunate enough to know people in my circles that can supply me reasonably, but YIKES.

This month’s “This is why I’m awake at 4:30AM” excuse:

Installed new host(s), maintenance, installed new UPS battery and redid power distribution plan.

Migrating VMs from ESX to Proxmox tonight, and this came in clutch.

Guest OS determined it *wasn't* in a VMware environment and refused to uninstall.

Homesteading.

You know you're in for a hell of a ride when the only way to access a web portal is via Firefox 3.0, to then upgrade to latest firmware, only to discover you have to turn OFF HTTPS to access it via a modern browser.

What the actual FUCK LOL.

Aww hell yeah dawg

It’s pack rebuilding time 👀

A few notes I'd like to share with after running a Hytale server on launch day:

- Update Pterodactyl to latest Wings version, prior version didn't allow Java to HWID your install, thus preventing token persistence.
- MAN this thing uses alot of RAM, 14GB for 5 users. Get an optimizer mod.

I'd just like to say, this all started because I wanted a replacement ring after my current one started to die every 30ish hours. (Advertised lifespan is supposed to be ~7d)

Support is kinda flaky, if you walk away to use the bathroom or something they just drop the ticket and make you start over.
I think Oura wants my input...

I asked my partner (tradesman) if I could re-run the wiring for 20a, and he said "you're going to read the IEC NFPA 70 guidelines, local electrical code, and write me a proposal before you do that."

I'm in deep, I never knew this much went into just running a single outlet, wire and a breaker. 😵‍💫

New problem, current usage + new batteries are going to draw too much power on 15a circuit.

Time to upgrade to 20a 🥴
Whelp, I guess that solves that problem... 😅
