It's funny how the long forgotten pops up in your head. When I was a milkman about '72 one of my customers was the bloke who manned a country railway level crossing box at Kelsey moor. In winter I used to have a warm in there up the steps in front of his coke stove and admire his levers.

Had a super exciting trip to Dunelm planned for this morning. But the battery died on the car and we can't fit two in my little pickup. Modern batteries don't get poorly first - they just seem to die like Rutger Hauer in Bladerunner.

Of only that smooth operator Schade hadn't hit a hat trick I would have been bricking myself over the Villa result with a chance of winning £1m on the super six.

Just heard Trump on the radio telling some little kids that not only does the US track Santa (who is a very very good person) across the world but that they also track all the bad Santas and keep them out of the country.

Suppose hardly anyone is old enough to remember Mick Abrahams who has died. I have the Blodwyn Pig album Ahead rings out. About once a year I look at the cover but never play it. It's a good cover. You had to be there - one of those.

Having run a project in Greenland and seen at first hand how pathetic Denmark was in supporting them, perverse at it sounds, they may be better off with the USA.

Got my Christmas wish - caulis ready for the big day. Crap year for sprouts (drought) but the dry weather forced the parsnips to go really deep so winners and losers.
