I quit X and came here to get back to following Habs posts and away from the MAGA, PP, racist, fascist nonsense. If I see political posts and reposts from your account, I may unfollow you. Nothing personal, just no interest in going back down that rabbit hole.
Slaf on pace for 30 goals and I expect his scoring chances to increase with his new found attitude and being back on a line with Nick and Cole. Thirty should be a lock.

He's a 19-year-old rookie.

Anyone remember during the summer saying with the loss of Armia, Dvo and Savard, and adding in more rookies, it's possible the Habs take a step backwards from last season, especially with this Olympic year schedule? They aren't quite there yet, but they have a lot of kids that need to keep...

For anyone noticing I "defend" the Habs goalies, it's not that I think they are good. They are pretty average. I'm trying to point out that goaltending isn't THE problem. Sure it could be better, but we lose tonight with Price in his prime. Defensive awareness and the will to win are what's missing.

As excited as I am for where the Habs rebuild is going, the team as constructed today and at this stage of their development, would not beat the 2021 Habs in a playoff series. Need to keep with the focus on skill, but also need to get more physical.

They say there's always a post... Or sometimes a video.
Pete Hegseth says he’s going to court-martial me for saying the same exact thing he said 9 years ago. What changed for Pete? Well to start, he spends all day thinking about how he can suck up to Trump. When Trump says jump, he says how high.

Need help from the hockey community. This is a Leafs question. They traded their 2026 1st round pick (top 5 protected) to Boston, and if it's a top 5 pick Boston gets their unprotected 2027 1st round pick. But they traded their 2027 1st round pick (top 10 protected) to Philly. What happens if the...

Wait a minute. Costco wants a refund on the tarrifs it had to pay for importing goods to the US? I thought the countries sending products had to pay the tarrifs? I mean, that's what Trump says, right?

Listening to @ericengels.bsky.social on the Sick Podcast and they were talking about Marty admitting he made a mistake asking his players to essentially play a trap game against Colorado. Everybody agrees Marty was right to admit that, but everybody also believes that's why they played poorly and...

I know it's very early and I may regret saying this, but Monty looks comfortable.

And now that the game is over, I'm okay with anyone who wants to say Dobes played well. He made some great saves when the Habs weren't playing their finest hockey.
Watch how many talk about how good Dobes is playing. I mean, he is playing good, but this kind of play from the Habs would make it pretty easy for any NHL caliber goalie.

Dobes is saving the Habs' bacon a lot tonight. Got to be stronger on clearing the D zone.
November 27, 2025 at 5:03 AM
Man, the Habs have fanned on so many pucks tonight - both on the offensive and defensive zones.

Cheryl Pounder is the best technical analyst in hockey, bar none. I can't think of anyone outside of Mike Johnson that's on a similar level.

This is why we're spoiled and think our goalies are no good.
Tinkering on a piece for months from now on Carey Price, who wants some fun Carey Price facts? Too bad, you're getting some anyway.

Per @evolving-hockey.com, between 2013-14 and 2015-16, Price saved 66.25 goals above average, 22 goals more than Cory Schneider in 2nd place.

@shaynegaumond.bsky.social According to the Internet, Hage has played 12 of 16 games at centre this season in the NCAA. So I wouldn't say (as Snake said) that he's playing a lot on the wing this year.

Finally got to watch last night's game and am seeing some commentary about how the Habs finally got good goaltending, yadda, yadda. In truth, Dobes didn't have to be very good last night. Toronto didn't generate very many decent scoring chances. I counted maybe five shots that were dangerous, and...

Watching Mike Johnson, Speaker of the House in the US, talk about the upcoming vote on releasing the Epstein files, and my god the hypocrisy!

@arponbasu.bsky.social did you say "nipped in the butt?"

It's "nipped in the bud" (as if to stop a flower or tree growing), not a dog biting someone in the rear. :)

So happy Marty put Slaf with the "kids." As the "veteran" he felt he had to be the guy to drive that line and he's playing his best, most confident game of the season. I think this helps him reach the next level. Marty sees it and now looking for a goal he's back with Nick and Cole.

As a goalie I find the hardest shots to stop are deflections, screens and shots off rebounds. Montreal's 5v3 power play doesn't provide an option for either one. Need to put the net front guy back and remove Dobson, or if you want that shooting option, remove Demidov. This unit can't stay as is.

In all this Trump/Epstein email dump, there's something I really want to know... Who is Bubba?
November 15, 2025 at 2:59 AM
@tonymarinaro.bsky.social Calling out the Habs goalies based on their save percentage when nobody was stopping those shots is lazy analysis at best, and rage baiting at worst. The team is playing poorly. This has little to do with goaltending.

@mccagg.bsky.social I don't think Dobes' confidence was hurt by sitting two games while Monty played. The goals against tonight were unstoppable by anybody. His confidence might be hurt AFTER this game, but he was fine going into it, I'm certain.
