I quit X and came here to get back to following Habs posts and away from the MAGA, PP, racist, fascist nonsense. If I see political posts and reposts from your account, I may unfollow you. Nothing personal, just no interest in going back down that rabbit hole.
If Habs fans in Bluesky want to get made at that no penalty call for the hit to the head on Guhle, I completely understand.

I think if Suzuki gets a hatty with a 5v5 goal, a short-handed goal and a PP goal, from now on it should be called a Nick Suzuki hat trick.

I'm sure it's probably been done before, but I don't think anyone has claimed a name for it yet. And if they did, too bad. I'm making a new rule.

MSL talking about how he loves that the team is playing competitive, meaningful games now as it advances the lessons more quickly. I was a little nervous early in the season that it was coming too easy and that guys would begin to stop carrying their share of the load. This stretch is good.

I wasn't going to say anything until the game was over, but even now at 2-2, and regardless of the outcome, Dobes had been really sharp tonight. I suspect he gets the next game too.

That's two things he has in common with Michael Jackson.
He's now wearing one glove to hide his rotting hand.

If you're living somewhere outside the USA, one thing you can do is pressure your leaders to boycott World Cup and Olympic events here.

I know I may get unfollowed by some Habs fans for even pondering this, but what about trying Veleno on the top line with Nick and Cole?

Think about it.

With the plethora of good Habs shows on YouTube, I'm often watching them a few days late. Just now watching @mccagg.bsky.social talking about the Lane Hutson snub and boy, does he bring the receipts! Good job Grant. I never thought to compare the Wild D to the Olympic team.
January 22, 2026 at 11:14 PM
@tonymarinaro.bsky.social says he knew Hutson wasn't going to be on Team USA after Lane's father said his sons have other options as they are also Canadian... Well, he said that because Lane didn't make the team. That reasoning doesn't make sense.

"Portland + Lewiston represent the smallest metro area to become a target of the Trump administration's #immigration crackdown."

BUT: Maine is a blue state. Red states Florida (1.6M) + Texas (2.1M) each have more undocumented immigrants than Maine has PEOPLE (1.4M).

It's *NOT* about immigration.
Federal officials launch ICE operation in Maine and begin arrests
“Everyone is on high alert,” Portland Mayor Mark Dion said. His city and nearby Lewiston have seen an influx of migrants and asylum seekers in recent years.

After the World Trade Center was attacked (just four miles from Trump Tower), more than 40,000 Canadians in uniform fought alongside their U.S. allies in Afghanistan.

More than 2,000 Canadians were wounded.

These 158 didn't make it home.

And now this guy is giving lectures on gratitude.

Look back at my posts (her and my old X account started in 2008) and you will be hard pressed to find many posts where I criticize the officials. But tonight? Wow. Tonight was bad. That ref was incompetent. Imagine how I'd complain had the Habs lost! #NHL

To hear Trump ask why Greenland should be considered part of Denmark just because they had ships there 300 years ago, and the US also had ships there... Greenland has been part of Denmark since 1721. The United States wasn't a country until 1776, 75 years later.

So apparently someone said Montreal can acquire Alex Lafreniere for Dack, Beck and this year's 2nd.

Do you consider it?

I'd need New York to agree to at least $2.45M in salary retention (bringing his cap hit to $5M to even begin discussions.

Daily reminder that the plan to take over Greenland and the Arctic is in project 2025. And it’s because global warming is melting the Arctic and opening up new shipping lanes that they want it & Greenland. They also want all their natural resources. Not a distraction. It was always in their plans.

Slaf now on pace for 32 goals.
Cole on pace for 40 goals.
Suzuki for 90 points.
Hutson for 84 points.
Demidov for 69 points.
Dobson 52 points.
Kapanen 45 points.

2022-2023 Suzuki lead the team with 61 points and Dach was next with 38.

We are getting there!
January 18, 2026 at 3:23 AM
The Habs steal two points they probably didn't deserve tonight, but the silver lining in the awful performance was the skill of the young guys shining through to win this game. Caufield, Slafkosky, Demidov, Hutson... All coming through when the chips were down. The future is bright.
