The NYPD is confirming its involvement in an FBI probe targeting volunteer immigration court observers, saying it was part of a “broader counterterrorism investigation" into "a range of possible criminal activities.”

This many New Yorkers haven't voted in a mayoral election since the 2005 race between Bloomberg and Fernando Ferrer, when 1.3 million NYC residents voted.

At the NAN this morning, Mamdani is expected to speak shortly, one woman, Walle from Manhattan, rails at Mayor Eric Adams for being MIA in recent weeks, "my heart is broken," she says pointing to flooding Thursday. "Not to show up and do a press conference w/ the water up to you ears."

Earlier on Canal Street, as agents attempted to disperse, one who I recognize from the courts pulled out a taser and threatened protester with it. @thecity.nyc

The large tank and other vehicles have now pulled into 26 Federal Plaza, feds arrested several people, and NYPD SRG now on scene, things are now calmer, going to post some more videos from earlier shortly.
