Excited for the stunning fall 2025 entry in my Feed Dog Book imprint from Anvil Press! Vera Hadzic's full-length poetry debut, Several Small Animals Enclosed in a Benedictine Monastery, is compelling, visceral, often dark, and always magical! @anvilpress.bsky.social @hadzicvera.bsky.social
This is so kind of you!!! That poem is going to be included in the book too--thanks so much for being the first to publish it ☺️☺️
Thank you so much, Jeff!!!
It's been a while since I've been on here, but I'm so happy to share that my debut poetry collection, Several Small Animals Enclosed in a Benedictine Monastery, comes out this fall with A Feed Dog Book from Anvil Press!!! Thanks so very much @razovsky.bsky.social & @anvilpress.bsky.social !!!☺️🌹
The cover of Several Small Animals Enclosed in a Benedictine Monastery, poems by Vera Hadzic: the cover features an illustration of a red rose with green leaves on a beige background.
Ooh thank you! I love this, I hadn't thought about it that way; both human and shark ghosts, maybe! And thanks for reading and sharing!! 😊

This is from my poem "Sky Pillars", from back in October! It still feels great to have this poem out in the world through @thesedayszine.bsky.social ☺️☺️

"Most people, certainly, don’t believe in the vast spread
of space. Even people who have been to space, surely, do
not believe in space. To them, it’s a long dream, filled
with lucid truths, but so separate from self and wakefulness
that it is obviously fake."

- Vera Hadzic, Sky Pillars
I only just saw these posts and wanted to say how much I really appreciate hearing this--thank you, Jeff!!
Thank you so much!!
Oh yes, I've definitely experienced that too at times! And sometimes, my classes inspire me to write, but then I can't find the time!
That's understandable, you must be so busy with a 10-month old!! I'm sure it's a lot of fun though. Writing is a bit slow on my end too because of school right now, but I find time here and there! I'm glad to hear things are great with you overall :)
Hi Derek! Thank you!! I hope everything is going well on your end too, writing-wise and in general; I'm glad to have found you on here! ☺️
What a wonderful welcome to Bluesky, thank you so much!!! Happy to be on here! 😊
