Writer and city guy learning about astrobiology, Gaelige, and health when I’m not doomscrolling. Upstate by my definition. He/him. #roc #speirghorm
Why does the guy who sings Neverending Story look like John Mulaney? For a second, I thought this was a spoof.

Taking it back to OG Twitter. Today’s lunch:

London broil and roast pork sandwich with lettuce, tomato, salt & pepper, horseradish cheddar, spicy brown mustard, and Russian dressing on toasted sourdough bread with a side of sour cream and onion potato chips

Thinking about how ancient Egyptians would sometimes gouge out the name of former pharaohs from stone monuments. No reason.

The Syracuse newspaper made a whole ass Instagram post announcing that a Wendy’s is coming to the mall. Wendy’s? In a food court? This is absurd! Unheard of! We must inform the populace! Malls are back, baby!

RIP Gil Gerard. I picked up the Buck Rogers pilot movie soundtrack just a couple weeks ago from my local record store. That show was one of my favorites as a little kid and Star Wars/Star Trek fan.

One of my Christmas packages just came through a town called Clarence.

I needed some good news and my fantasy football team came through with a narrow 1.66 point victory in the Quarterfinals after Monday Night Football. I’ll take the wins wherever I can get them.

I drove from Rochester, NY to Boston to see Stereolab with a friend who lives out there. I arrived at night, in torrential rain, without GPS, during the Big Dig. I couldn’t reach him and ended up lost for an hour. I randomly found the packed club, saw most of the show & then found him outside after.

I'm concerned the folks don't seem to know that there is a whole ass album of Hanukkah folk songs written by Woodie Guthrie.

I declined a game involving lots of math, saying “I’m not good at math,” but I realized that’s not true. I took AP Calculus then up through Calc 3 in college. It just never came intuitively and by the end I was completely burned out on it. Now, doing fast calculations in my head gives me anxiety.
