Millions of people from the Pacific Northwest to the Northern Plains to the Northeast are under alerts today and tomorrow due to high winds. Keep a safe distance from large trees during windy conditions. Numerous people are hurt or killed every year due to falling branches.

Curious or unsupervised dogs are at risk if they ingest these toxic fungi!
🚫Never allow your dog to eat wild mushrooms
👀Supervise dogs in the yard
‼️ Remove any mushrooms from your yard promptly.
☎️ If you suspect your dog has ingested one, seek emergency veterinary care immediately.

Did you receive the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) earthquake alert this morning? Thankfully the USGS has confirmed it was a false alarm and there was no earthquake but it's a great reminder to be prepared and review your Animal Emergency Action plans!

Beach Hazards Statement in effect in the Bay Area until 10pm this Sun due to moderate to long period swells causing an increased risk of sneaker waves & rip currents. If your weekend plans involve a trip to the beach, NEVER turn your back to the ocean! You might want to keep your dog on a leash. 🦮
