Might be because it’s hard enough to meet new friends as adults as it is (especially in the PNW), so people seem starved for new interactions and fresh stories.

Valid grievance IMO. Anytime I lost substantial weight, I’d have to go get new clothes (not just my old graphic tees). But I always keep old stuff, because I know my lazy ass ends up putting the weight back on. Medical-related is a whole different situation, so I’m sure it’s annoying and expensive!

I feel like I never get notifications from here, so I keep forgetting it exists (sorry y’all).
Meanwhile, I get TOO MANY from Threads. But none of the settings changes I make to either app seem to make a difference.

I gotta be honest with y’all, I forgot this app was here. My social media time is primarily TikTok these days, but the sheer number of ads there is starting to annoy me. I wanted news, but I’m getting some of that from Substack now… so for social fix I may come back here.

Some of them are just out there! I can understand thematic costumes — like Rudolf being an Emperor, or Opera being in Shakespearian garb — but a few of the designs don’t have themes; they are just “generic anime girl” or “magical girl.”
