I’ve definitely still been too harsh on those not remembering as I’ve been trying to think of famous examples of it happening previously and I’m coming up blank! Was clearly blinded with disbelief at how we were losing!

To be fair, it might be a fairly niche rule that I’ve remembered from playing too much FIFA and I’m being harsh. I think IFAB are contemplating removing rebounds entirely, but with penalties specifically hitting the frame of the goal it’s been in use since the late 90s from what I can find.

Sheffield United can’t win games of football

Trying to work out whether Birmingham are just a ridiculously good side for the level or whether Newcastle are actually pretty rubbish at the minute. Leave it with me.

Commentator has said it was Carl Kennedy who was sent off. Although he’s got a few things wrong this half so could well be Turner.

Getting results has been this Blades team’s biggest issue for a long time now. There were plenty of instances where they played well enough to win last season and didn’t get over the line. They’ve dominated Pompey here, but it feels all too familiar.

Biggest pet peeve in football is players refusing to use their weaker foot. Ella Kinzett was in acres on the left and just had to play it across goal for a tap in, but she awkwardly shifted her body shape to use her right foot and made the chance 100x harder for herself.

The commentator has just learned the rule and said “that’s a new rule introduced over the summer”. No it isn’t????

Sorry, how does neither Amy Andrews or the commentator not know the rule that you can’t follow up on your own penalty if it’s hit the post? I get it doesn’t happen all that often, but I thought that was a widely understood rule.
