Actor/voice actor/musician/singer/shenanigangster in Austin, TX. I love liminal spaces. Like eating and scrolling in my car.
I’ve had a fairly chill and relaxed month or two but now we are entering another period of “GAH SO MUCH MUSIC TO WORK ON.” To be clear I am not complaining. Being busy is GOOD and musician life very rarely finds a Goldilocks zone. It’s almost always feast or famine.

I really wish my phone would learn that I NEVER mean “base guitar” when I’m dictating a message.

Thanks to Helen Heil for capturing one of my favorite songs to sing at tonight’s crazy fun Beatle Bash.

Just lost Whamageddon (for the first time ever I think) in a convenience store. Also lost LDB several times this weekend at Horror For The Holidays though I’m not sure if that counts as it was always the Bing Crosby/David Bowie duet and I only ever noticed it during the “Peace on Earth” section.

Sometimes when I’m laying in bed meditating (beditating?) I want to pull the covers over my head. But then I get distracted thinking “Am I breathing too much carbon dioxide when I do this?”

More places need to embrace that silence is good. We don't need music/blaring TVs or such in all our public spaces. I like silence. I also like to carry on conversations easily.

My annual subscription finally ran out so I think I'm breaking up with Duolingo. Mainly because I'm not a fan of their AI usage and such. Sorry to my “streak friends.”

A spicy little ditty.

Just me as Evil Santa surrounded by legends. Barbara Crampton, Patty Mullen, Dee Wallace , Miko Hughes, Ken Foree, and Henry Thomas.

Actor home audition setup tip: by FAR the best thing I ever did for my home audition setup was to ditch the ring light for a soft box. SO MUCH BETTER.

I am such a weird and paradoxical casserole of zen gratitude mixed with dissatisfied unhappiness with a side of ennui. I have more layers than a Bloomin' Onion.

New longer hair danger discovered: leaning over using a beard trimmer to pre-shave (gotta shave since I'll be in prosthetics all weekend) and almost took a chunk out of the back of my hair hanging down.

If it doesn’t have a hole, I don’t think it’s a donut. At least it’s not a “free donut with a-hole.”

Today is a stay in bed under the covers all day kind of day in preparation for being Evil Santa all weekend at Horror For The Holidays at Palmer Events Center. Always fun but weirdly exhausting too.

Saw an ad somewhere and took a chance on two pairs of these color changing corduroy drawstring waist pants for everyday lounge wear. Love them! I do need have pant legs hemmed up a bit.

I'm at that point in growing my hair out (just for fun) where I think on a good day I'm at a 50/50 ratio of "looks awesome" to "looks like crap."

Thanks to The Relatable Voice for interviewing me and several others involved in “High Moon.” I love talking about acting! #TheRVBookFair2025

Sometimes 2 guitars playing the exact same thing is what MAKES the sound. Or piano and bass. Or guitar and piano. Or any two instruments. Every instrument doesn't always have to be playing some unique part or range. BOTH paths are equally viable musical tools.

I don’t think calories from Heath bars should count for me.

This weekend, I shall once again transform into Evil Santa for “Horror for the Holidays” at the Palmer Events Center in Austin, TX. We will be there all day Saturday and Sunday!

Went in for an oil change, and am now also waiting for a rear brake job and cabin filter change. But hey, I’m grateful for a good car and maintenance is unavoidable.
