AB360 will reduce Nevada's high congenital syphilis (CS) rate by increasing access to syphilis testing for high-risk populations.

Why it matters: Reduces devastating consequences of CS, will save millions of dollars in public healthcare costs. Signed into law.

A great night for billionaires — a bad night for everyone else.

The Assembly convened recently in the Historic Assembly Chambers of the Nevada Capitol. We were honored by the presence of local suffragettes and none other than Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain) himself!

Last week, I presented legislation addressing syphilis and was overwhelmed by community support.

Thank you to everyone who lent their voice to this important cause!

Thank you, Dr. Deeter, for showing how children suffer lifelong disabilities when mothers don't receive syphilis treatment during pregnancy. Just 1-3 doses of medication for mothers prevents this devastation. Your testimony proves why AB 360 is vital to protect Nevada's children.

AB205 makes comprehensive sex ed accessible to all students while respecting parents' right to opt out. This removes barriers for vulnerable students who need this information most, empowering youth with knowledge for informed, healthy choices about their bodies and relationships.
