40% of SNAP recipients are kids, 18% are elderly, 11% are disabled and of the rest, ~70% already have jobs. So unless your company’s hiring underage Interns, grandma and her walker, or knows how to fit more hours in a day, maybe cool it with the “just get a job” comments.

I am generally skeptical of AI. It vomits up a lot of false, fictitious, or misleading info. I hate how it sucks energy, wastes water, and is often built on violation of copyright. That said, I have had some interesting finds here! #genealogy #FamilyHistory

Has anyone ever come across an entry in a census you know is factually wrong, but correctly transcribed from the original by #Ancestry or #FindMyPast, so you can't send in an error report to get it changed?

Yes! In the 1940 census my grandfather (his name was Donald Munroe Wilkinson) was listed as Donald Munroe, and all his family members are listed under the surname Munroe. It was obviously an error by the census taker, but it affected the transcriptions, and the indexes. I complained for years.

Of course, without permits and chemical studies all that historical lead paint, asbestos, and other toxic substances are now just dust floating around Washington DC to land willy nilly... not to say that history, art, design, architecture, due process, and common sense are all dust now, too.
