The only businesses more corrupt than health insurance are auto and homeowners insurance.

Health insurance is required to prevent bankruptcy. Auto insurance is required by law. And homeowners insurance is required by mortgage lenders.

And rates are "overseen" by the government

We just finished our off grid solar build. We are planning on potentially adding a windmill to supplement on the cloudy days. Our first month of no energy bills is November.
